The New York Times about 20/44

But what the city lacks in beauty it more than makes up for in intensity, which is evident at 20/44, a ramshackle club named for Belgrade’s map coordinates. It occupies a wood-paneled pontoon boat, docked along the Sava River, that is decorated in a style that Milivoje Bozovic, its music director, described as “bordello of ’80s.” Among other retro touches are 17 musty computer monitors stacked like cargo on either side of the cabin.

As summer winds down, we’re bringing you a handful of Belgrade’s best, plus a live bonus, for a sundown showdown on the deck of Klub 20/44.

Tijana T, Vladimir Ivkovic, Kristijan Molnar, Schwabe and Stevie Whisper are all local mainstays and will be cruising over the evening through a mix of psychedelic techno, oddball gems, slo-mo house and plenty of rarities in between.

Bridging the gap in the middle of the show will be the Boiler Room debut appearance of Toulouse Low Trax, playing live with his explosive wares as night falls.

Tickets available on the door only this time, but tune in on Wednesday 13th September all across the world for the goods.
